Cameryn Moore (performer/guide)
Cameryn started modeling for life-drawing sessions in 2017, when she had just moved to Berlin and needed grocery money. Turns out she was good at it, and also brought a rare body type into studio sessions.
Cameryn is an award-winning playwright, performer, event producer, and host, originally from the US and now based in Berlin. She has made seven critically acclaimed solo shows, including Phone Whore, nerdfucker, and most recently Muse. Since 2010, her work has been seen in over 70 cities worldwide.
In addition to her theater projects, Cameryn is the creator and producer of YIKES! (a celebration of awkward performance) and Smut Slam (an international network of adult storytelling events). Her explorations in theatre, storytelling, and activism/advocacy are both a challenge and invitation to adventurous audiences everywhere; she specializes in working with challenging themes around sex, relationship, and bodies.
David Hedderman
(sound design)
David is an Irish artist and musician based in Berlin since 2008. He was the facilitator of the first formal life-drawing session that Cameryn ever modeled for.
David received his B.A. in Fine Art at NCAD in 2005. He established regular life drawing classes and workshops from his studio in Kreuzberg, Berlin (2011-2021), and was invited to teach and share his methods in Finland, Germany, France and Ireland. From his open studio, David developed a focused life drawing structure with a strong emphasis to curate these classes with a carefully selected playlist to accompany the model and the collective mood. He is a figurative artist with a focus on the human form. His method of working often involves tracing the model’s movement on the page and through overlaying poses creates complex, overlapping spaces and form of non-narrative but descriptive ‘score’ out of the life drawing set. The results are breathtaking figurative work. In 2017 he published ‘Draw’, a graphic guide to life drawing by David Hedderman by Ammonite Press.
